Crisis Management

In partnership with the Social Welfare Board, FRI provides immediate, compassionate support to individuals facing urgent situations—whether housing instability, food insecurity, mental health concerns, or other critical threats to well-being. Through rapid response coordination and personalized case management, we ensure no individual or family navigates hardship alone.

Family Mentorship Program – FMP

FMP provides comprehensive, tailored support to individuals and families, facilitating their access to essential services such as early childhood development, education, health, housing, and other social supports. It aims to ease the complexities associated with navigating social welfare and healthcare systems, building self-agency and fostering independence.

Each household is paired with either a dedicated case manager and/or a Navigator and a Mentor. Together, they conduct a confidential case consultation, map out a wrap around support plan, and co create a Family Development Plan. Families receive seamless service navigation, mentorship, and direct access to crisis counselling, reducing vulnerability and building self-agency and resilience.

Mental Health Counselling

FRI links clients to confidential, culturally aware counselling delivered by trusted external partners. Guided by their case manager, families can access short‑term therapy, ongoing support groups, and specialist referrals—services that address the mental‑health challenges most commonly raised at intake and complement our broader crisis‑counselling network.
